Welcome to the Pastoral!

The School and the University Pastoral is present in all Methodist Institutions of Education, to indicate the purpose of the Methodist Church in fulfilling its mission in education. The Methodist Church understands education as a process that aims to prepare the person for the full exercise of citizenship, to develop a critical awareness and commitment to build a more fair, fraternal, supportive and tolerant society.

For this, the Campus Ministry is based on the documents that guide the Methodist confessionality. The documents, entitled Plan of Life and Mission and Guidelines for Education in the Methodist institutions, say that the main ax of the pastoral , prophetic, priestly and educational activities is the kingdom of God.

In this sense, the values ​​of the Kingdom of God and the Gospel of Jesus Christ mark out the life of an Educational Institution and all those who carry out  their work in it. We emphasize that God is the primary educator. He always reveals, in all situations of life, inviting us all to follow his teachings: "Come to me all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28).

We aim that our relations are guided by this invitation that God makes us and the witness of faith and hope contribute to the educational process within the Piracicabano Scholl  and  the Methodist University of Piracicaba in all its campuses.
